Unity of Oak Park classes are open to all; you needn’t be a member to attend! You will learn about foundational Unity/Truth principles and beliefs.

Taking classes at Unity of Oak Park will assist you in your everyday walk as well as with your spiritual journey. We call our teachings, "Practical Christianity," and it can help transform your life, while opening your heart to a richer experience of the God Presence within us all.

Wed., July 5, 12, 19 & 26, from 7:00 - 8:30 pm - The Art and Practice of Living With Nothing and No One Against You - Have you ever wondered why it is that despite all you know about how to get along in the world, despite the efforts you make in your home and work life, and in your spiritual practices, you may still not be seeing lasting results? Recent research into the workings of the human brain may be shedding some light on why we may still find ourselves living a sub-optimal life, stuck in old patterns of thought, feeling and action regardless of our best efforts. This class, which is facilitated by LUT Candidate Christine Garza, uses a practice called The Q Process™ which was created by long-time and well known Unity Church transformational pioneers---Dr. Gary Simmons, Dr. Jane Simmons and Dr. Rima Bonario.  This 21-day practice will help you gain incredible insights into your core self and your core wounds.  You will be able to separate your newly emerging sense of self (as defined by a way of being) from the habitual “selves” that have their roots in unmet childhood needs and that have often been strengthened and made more rigid in adulthood. Old patterns are revealed; a new way of seeing the self emerges. Understanding dawns and a new sense of freedom is the result.
