MAY & JUNE

Fifth Annual Day of Culture - Sun., May 7, at 12:30 pm.  Unity of Oak Park has a very diverse congregation with many different cultures.  We would like to celebrate with everyone so after the second service on May 7, show your talent, share your stories, and bring your favorite dish that is prevalent to your culture and perhaps has been handed down through the generations.

 

Volunteer Appreciation Day - Sun., May 21, at 12:30 pm.  Join us for the celebration honoring our many dedicated volunteers at Unity of Oak Park.  All current and potential volunteers are invited to attend.

 

Unity's Arts & Crafts Fair - Sat., June 3, from 10:30 am to 5:30 pm.  Please join us for Unity's Art & Crafts Fair.  All are welcome.  Please help make the fair a success by contacting your friends on Facebook. To participate as an artist please call Terrie Leysath at the church.

 

Daily Word Reader Orientation - Sun., June 11, from 10:15 - 11:00 am.  Is Spirit calling you to increase your participation here at Unity Oak Park and you just don’t know where to start? Being a Daily Word Reader is an ideal opportunity to let your light shine while allowing you to set your own short term commitments. Please join in at the Daily Word Reader Orientation where you will learn all about the guidelines and procedures on how you can help lead the congregation in this important part of our Sunday services. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Sheila Swann-Guerrero at the church.  Thanks will be given to you for inspiring others through your gift of reading the Daily Word.

SPECIAL WEEK OF CLASSES THIS SUMMER

Quickening of the Spirit 2017 - Sun., Aug. 6 - Fri., Aug. 11.  Unity of Oak Park is hosting a special week of Spiritual Education & Enrichment (SEE) classes.  See the Adult Classes page for more information.

ONGOING

Consciousness Club - the first Sunday of each month from 12:30 - 1:30 pm.  For all who wish to focus more on the development of their prosperity consciousness, we invite you to join the Consciousness Club.  This club was formed to inspire, support, and encourage those who wish to further develop a higher consciousness and fully live the promises of Truth. 

Coffee & Tea with Myrtle & Me - Every Thursday from 10:00 - 11:00 am.  This discussion group is intended to be very informal allowing people to ask questions and exchange ideas on different topics of interest.  Drop in any Thursday.

Silence in the Solarium – Every Thursday, from 11:30 am - Noon.  Join us as we set aside a time each week to reconnect our minds and hearts at this meditation service in the Solarium.

Women and Men of Unity – Sat., May 13, from 10:00 - 11:30 am.  Join us on the second Saturday of each month for our book study and refreshments.  Facilitated by Bernie Thauland, LUT.  No meetings in June, July or August.

MOVIE NIGHT

Movie Night – Fri., June 23, at 7:00 pm..  Join us in June when we will gather together to watch "Henry Poole Is Here."  Popcorn and other refreshments will be available.

TAI CHI

The Breath of Life:  Medical Tai Chi/Qi Gong - Every Sunday from 10:15 - 10:45 am.  Medical Tai Chi/ Qi Gong inspires and empowers the individual in every aspect of health and balance.  Gail Galivan is a Certified Medical Tai Chi/Qi Gong instructor.  Bring comfortable shoes to wear.  All ages welcome.
