Magical Night with Storytelling + Outdoor Movie on the Lawn

unity099

Unity of Oak Park was alive last night as adults and kids gathered for a music, storytelling, popcorn, and a movie with a beautiful message

Baba Tony + Kucha Storytelling was such a treat for Unity of Oak Park and the community. People gathered on the lawns with blankets and enjoyed their interactive stories with beautiful messages, music, and interaction with the children.

Their storytelling not only entertained, it inspired and spread positive messages for everyone in attendance. More on their magic here.

The children loved the performance and then enjoyed playing on the lawn at twilight as everyone collected their popcorn, treats, and drinks awaiting the feature.

Right as the sun set, on came ENCANTO, a beautiful story about The Madrigals, an extraordinary family who live hidden in the mountains of Colombia in a charmed place called the Encanto. The magic of the Encanto has blessed every child in the family with a unique gift—every child except Mirabel—but you see how she finds her gift and helps her family and all of us see the importance of #forgiveness #embracinguniquneness #truth #love and #family.

All the messages are in alignment with Unity of Oak Park's Upcoming campaign Families are made & not only born where we are nourishing, supporting, and revitalizing families. More to come! Stay up to date on all of our events and subscribe here.

Thank you to Doug + Team at Unity for putting on this beautiful night for all of us to enjoy. Unity of Oak Park offers monthly movie nights and has another outdoor movie this September of Wizard of Oz.
